Thirty-six fishermen from the oil spill-hit towns of Batad and Estancia were arrested for illegal fishing early this week. The fishermen were caught engaging in Danish seine fishing. The Iloilo Provincial Bantay Dagat Task Force carried out the arrest in two separate operations held 2.22 kilometers off Gigantes Island and 4.35 kilometers off Sicogon Island, all in Carles town.
