A flexible credit facility line is now available for some 40,000 needy farmers and fishermen in the country's poorest provinces. The Department of Agriculture (DA), through the Agricultural Credit Policy Council (ACPC), has launched a credit facility that will provide agricultural loans to the intended beneficiaries. Known as the Agriculture and Fisheries Financing Program (AFFP), the DA and ACPC turned-over to the Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) and People's Credit and Finance Corporation (PCFC) ₱550 million and ₱450 million, respectively.
