The mangrove planting was conducted in Olango Island, a farmed bird sanctuary and disaster-prone area in partnership with Globe Telecom, Be Resorts and Kayakasia Philippines. The event was also in celebration of the first ever International Day of the Girl and the 2012 International Day for Disaster Reduction (IDDR).en
