    Excerpt
The Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE) has created Task Force GENSAN to facilitate the timely delivery of services and interventions for workers in the local tuna industry which was affected by a two-year ban against overfishing. Labor Secretary Marianito D. Roque said the department has started consulting and mobilizing industry and social partners to assess the needs and provide interventions to both the trade players and workers affected by a two-year ban against overfishing of tuna in the Pacific Ocean. The Labor chief has convened the consultation with the Industry Tripartite Council-Fishing Industry to determine the options and gauge the impact of the two-year tuna fishing ban.
