The province of Guimaras unveiled its two marine protected areas (MPAs) situated in the towns of San Lorenzo and Sibunag established with the support of South Korea's Yeosu Foundation. The Tumalintinan Point Marine Protected Area Management Facilities in Barangay Suclaran, San Lorenzo and Pamanculan Fish Sanctuary Management Facilities were among the four follow-up project under the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Framework of Guimaras. The projects started in 2015 with the province receiving technical support and financial assistance equivalent to roughly P4.352 million, a grant from the Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea Foundation.
