    Excerpt
The Integrated Coastal Management program of the island-province of Guimaras was recognized at the East Asian Seas Congress (EASC) recently held in Da Nang, Vietnam. The Congress, organized by the Partnerships in Environmental Management for the Seas of East Asia ( PEMSEA ), gathered leaders from Southeast Asia to share best practices in coastal management. Liberty Ferrer, public information officer, said Guimaras' ICM program is being undertaken by the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) in partnership in private agencies.
