local.seafdecaqd.extract | Fourteen aquaculture specialists and technicians from 13 Asians and African countries completed an intensive training course conducted by the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center Aquaculture Department (SEAFDEC AQD) based here. The participants in the Third Country Training Program on Responsible Aquaculture Development were two from the Philippines and one each from Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Myanmar, Nigeria, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and Tanzania. The Philippine government, through the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), in cooperation with SEAFDEC AQD (the project's lead implementor, headed by Dr. Rolando R. Platon) with the support of the Japanese government through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) sponsored the two-month training course. | en |
