The latest fisheries projects of the bureau of fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) will be showcased at the 2013 edition of Agrilink which will be held on October 10 to 12 at the world trade center at the corner of Puyat Avenue and Macapagal Blvd., Pasay City. BFAR Director Asis Perez said that his agency's core programs this year aim to maintain the balance in increasing production towards food security while conserving aquatic resources so we can sustainable utilize them in the long run. The strategy is reflected by fisheries production expanding by 5.6%, with the sector's production reaching ₱59.9 billion in gross value.
