Dr. Rolando Platon, chief of the Iloilo-based Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Centers aquaculture department (Seafdec/AQD), reiterated the Department's thrust on commercialization of Seafdec's research and development activities during the recently concluded First Field Day on fisheries and aquaculture technologies here. The field day was sponsored by the Land Bank Technology Promotion Center, the bank's aquaculture livelihood-oriented consortium with Seafdec, the University of the Philippines Visayas, and the Iloilo State College of Fisheries (ISCOF).
