The Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC) has a new member. The Union of Myanmar (formerly Burma) is the latest addition to the membership of SEAFDEC, a treaty organization established in 1967 to promote fisheries development in Southeast Asia.Current members are Brunei Darussalam, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
