14 SUCs receive digital library devices

Fourteen colleges and universities from around the Philippines received digital library devices from the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center Aquaculture Department (SEAFDEC/AQD). Stephen Alayon, acting head of the library and data banking service section of SEAFDEC/AQD, said the turn-over ceremony of the IAMSLIC (International Association of Aquatic and Marine Science Libraries and Information Centers) Digital Fisheries Libraries was held recently during the celebration of SEAFDEC/AQD’s 46th founding anniversary in Tigbauan, Iloilo. Alayon said users can access the digital library box using their mobile phones and laptops with Wi-Fi connections, adding that the Digital Library Box is intended for those off the grid.
