According to the task force, the fishermen were operating without permit, a violation of Section 9.06 of Concepcion's Fishery Ordinance No. 1 Series of 2008. The owners, who were residents of Barangays Macatunao, Bagongon, and Polopiña, paid a compromise fine of P2,500 each for the immediate release of their fishermen and boats.en
