Six fishermen engaged in trawl fishing off the coast of Baligiuan Island, Barangay Malangabang, Concepcion town were apprehended by Iloilo Provincial Bantay Dagat Tash Force. According to the task force, the fishermen were operating without permit, a violation of Section 9.06 of Concepcion's Fishery Ordinance No. 1 Series of 2008. The owners, who were residents of Barangays Macatunao, Bagongon, and Polopiña, paid a compromise fine of P2,500 each for the immediate release of their fishermen and boats.
