local.seafdecaqd.extractRecognizing that the aquaculture industry in Western Visayas is the continuously threatened by diseases, the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center - Aquaculture Department (Seafdec-AQD) recently co-organized a two and a half day seminar-workshop in "Disease Control in Fish and Shrimp Aquaculture in Southeast Asia: Diagnosis and Husbandry Techniques." Held in Iloilo City, the workshop was with the cooperation of the Office International des Epizooties (OIE). Seafdec-AQD chief Dr. Rolando Platon noted that Asia is a major aquaculture site, and better regional cooperation can help the aquaculture industry attain its goal of sustainability.en
