    SEAFDEC readies to streamline AQD

    The Aquaculture Departement (AQD) of the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC) based in Tigbauan, Iloilo is ready to implement the recommendations of the Research Development Advisory Committee (RDAC) created to resolve the ongoing controversy hounding the international research center. In a press conference yesterday morning in Iloilo City. SEAFDEC AQD center chief, Dr. Rolando Platon informed that the Council has issued a regional mandate calling for the shift to regional focus by increasing visibility of SEAFDEC to the whole of Southeast Asia serviced by four SEAFDEC departments based in Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines. The activities are to be distributed to other member countries including Myanmar and Cambodia. SEAFDEC has 11 member countries.
