The management of Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center Aquaculture Department (Seafdec/AQD) based in Tigbauan, Iloilo is optimistic the problem besetting their agency, which stemmed from the scientists' call for the ouster of AQD Chief Dr. Rolando Platon, will be resolved soon. "The current problem besetting Seafdec/AQD is now closer to being resolved," said the statement issued by the Office of the Chief yesterday. The management said the Research and Development Advisory Committee (RDAC), the body formed by the Department of Agriculture to review Seafdec/AQD's current thrusts and priorities in the light of budgetary constraints, held its fifth meeting last March 17 at office of the Usec. Cesar Drilon Jr., who chairs the RADC.
