Whenever education is mentioned, the four corners of a classroom is the first thing that comes to mind. After all, when you've spent 16 or so years learning in a classroom, the association is almost a knee-jerk reaction. But the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), Philippine Council for Aquatic & Marine Research and Development (PCAMRD) and Santeh Feeds Corp. is showing that quality learning can happen right at the comfort of your own home or more specifically, near any radio. Welcome to the Fishery School on the Air (FSA), an interactive weekly radio program broadcasted over DZMM stations nationwide to disseminate the latest aquaculture technologies and information. Listeners must register and tune in to learn from resource speakers who discuss the different aspects of the culture cycle of particular species chosen annually for its market potential.
