Some 80 scientists and other personnel of the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC), Aquaculture Department (AQD) have staged a protest rally beside Museo Iloilo along Bonifacio Drive on Monday afternoon to protest what they claim to be strange happenings in their very own agency. Sources said the SEAFDEC protestors in Tigbauan, Iloilo went on a 3-day protest leave starting on March 15. The SEAFDEC chief, Dr. Rolando Platon, and administrative and Finance officer Dan Baliao are both on official leave and are said to be warning their heels abroad.
