Guimaras seaweed growers are getting more and more support from the government this 2018. Seaweed production is considered to be Guimaras' second most important industry, and any improvements in this sector are of tremendous help to the local economy, expressed a government agency official. The Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP) under the Department of Agriculture (DA) is actively implementing a series of projects designed to increase the production capabilities of local producers.
