Cebu-based Shemberg Corporation is pinning its hopes on a collaborative effort with Indonesia to ensure that the country would continue to hold its 41 percent share in the seaweeds market. Indonesia is the world's second biggest seaweeds producer at 20 percent, with China tagging along at 11 percent. With the joint effort of the Philippines and Indonesia, the two countries would likely be the key players in the market.
