The provincial government is collaborating with the Aquaculture Department of the Southeast Asia Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC-AQD) and Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) to pursue three research projects designed to bolster the local fisheries sector. Governor Vicente Bermejo said the Collaborative Research Project for Fisheries Development also involves Capiz State University (CAPSU) which will provide the ponds in its campus in Barangay Dayao here for the research projects. Bermejo, Dr. Joebert Toledo, SEAFDEC-AQD chief, BFAR information center head Erwin Pador and Dr. Editha L. Magallanes, CAPSU vice president for administration, signed the memorandum of agreement for the project at the Holding Room of the provincial Capitol Nov. 16.
