The provincial government of Capiz has forged a collaboration with the Aquaculture Department of Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC-AQD) and Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) to pursue three research projects designed to bolster the local fisheries sector. Gov. Vicente Bermejo said the collaborative research project for Fisheries Development also involves Capiz State University (CAPSU) which will provide the ponds at its campus in Barangay Dayao here for the research projects. Bermejo Dr. Joebert Toledo, chief of SEAFDEC-AQD, BFAR Information Center head Erwin Pador and Dr. Editha L. Magallanes CAPSU vice president for administration, signed the memorandum of agreement for the project support during the signing ceremony held at the Holding Room of the Provincial Capitol last November 16.
