The Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center said it will provide free diagnostic services to shrimp farmers who suspect or experience a disease outbreak. SEAFDEC said in a press release that in its recent biosecurity forum, Joebert Toledo, chief of the Aquaculture Department, led the discussions on biosecurity aspects on common shrimp viral diseases. Experts Leobert de la Peña and Gilda Lio-Po lectured and discussed about shrimp viral diseases, their detection and prevention while DBS station head Jocelyn Ladja explained the biosecurity measures at the SEAFDEC station that shrimp farmers can adopt.
