    Stakeholders in Guimaras vowed to protect National Greening Program areas in the island province. Department of Education and Natural Resources (DENR) Region 6; Jordan, Buenavista, Sibunag, and Nueva Valencia towns; seven barangays; and three people's organizations, signed a Letter of Agreement in San Miguel, Jordan recently. People's organizations tapped for the program were Lapaz Fisherfolk and Aquatic Resources and Mangrove Management Association; San Roque Coastal Environment Program Association; and Guiwanon Upland Farmers Fruit and Forest Trees Association.
