The Supreme Court (SC) on Tuesday dismissed the writ of kalikasan plea on the disputed areas in the West Philippine Sea after the fishermen who filed the petition withdrew the case following revelations that their signatures were misrepresented. In the decision penned by Justic Mario Victor Leonen, the high court allowed the dismissal of the case based on the request of the fishermen themselves.
