The roles and contribution of women in fisheries were extensively discussed in the recent national conference workshop on Unfolding Women's Lives and Works in the Fisheries World held last March 15 and 16 at the Four Season Hotel. The conference was initiated by the University of the Philippines in the Visayas (UPV), Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC), Philippine Council for Aquaculture and Marine Research and Development, Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Department of Agriculture and Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
