If Mayor Adolfo E. Jaen would have his way, he wanted to have a school of fisheries in Leganes. In an interview with the Daily Informer, Mayor Jaen said "I have discussed with Congressman Augusto Syjuco three options on how to better utilize the research and laboratory buildings that SEAFDEC (Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center) abandoned when their lease contract with the municipal government expired.
