A national water body will study the problem of water in Guimbal town, 19 kilometers south of here, which has been the subject of a dispute between the town and the Southeast Asia Fisheries Development Center (Seafdec). The National Water Resources Board directed the National Irrigation Administration recently to conduct an independent study in connection with the requirements of the town in relation to the permit granted to Seafdec. The costs will be shouldered by Seafdec, wrote Hector Dayrit, chief of water-rights division of the board.
