A national water body will study the disputed water in Guimbal town, 29 kilometers south of here, which has been the subject of a dispute between the town and the Southeast Asia Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC). The National Water Resources Board (NWRB) has directed the National Irrigation Administration (NIA), May 18, to conduct an independent study in connection with the requirements of the town in relation to the permit granted to SEAFDEC. The cost will be shouldered by SEAFDEC wrote Hector Dayrit, chief of water rights division of NWRB.
