    As the Nation celebrated the Environment Month and kicked-off of the Ocean Month, the City Environment and Natural Resources (CENRO) in this city - together with its partners Lupon ng mga Indibidwal na Nangangalaga sa Kalikasan (LINK) - held a sandcastle -building competition at Barangay Poro on June 5, 2015, with 15 teams participating composed of students and families vying for the best masterpieces for the theme, "I Am Pawikan I Need Care." Pawikan is the Filipino term for sea turtle.
