    Excerpt
Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff Gen. Cirilito Sobejana on Thursday disclosed that the military is considering building new structures in the West Philippine Sea (WPS) amid China’s insistence that the waters are part of its territory. “We’re finding ways to strengthen our position in that part of our country,” Sobejana said. “We are entertaining the idea of constructing structures there.”
