About a hundred aquaculture scientists, environmentalists and other fishery experts from Southeast Asia and other parts of the World met here recently and mapped out measures to counter threats to the aquaculture industry in the region. The workshop on mangrove-friendly aquaculture was the maiden activity of a project conceived by the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC) Council at a recent meeting in Bangkok, Thailand.
