Agriculture stakeholders across the country are urging Agriculture Secretary William Dar to hold consultations with them, saying the failure to do led to the failure of the implementation of the two-decade-old Agriculture and Fisheries Modernization Act (AFMA). They claimed the Department of Agriculture’s (DA) plans for 2001-2004, 2011-2017 and 2018-2023 have not been consulted with the agriculture sector. “We have only come to know these AFMA programs upon discovery of counsel as part of due diligence in preparation of a case,” they said.
