A total of 55 sacks of "tahong" or green mussels suspected to be positive for the "red tide" toxin were intercepted by authorities while being transported by five people from Anda, this province, yesterday. Arrested were Jing Celino, 38, married, and a businesswoman who yielded 15 sacks of mussels loaded on an Elf truck with Plate No. RHP-321 and her driver Ronald Celino, 42; and Milagros Ponce, 61, Lucrecia dela Cruz, 55, and Junior Taller from whom 40 more sacks of shellfish were confiscated. Joint operatives of the City Agriculture Office, the Bantay Ilog Fish Warden, and the Dagupan City Police Station were responsible for their arrest in Lucao district, this city.
