A South Asian Center in this city has lauded the Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) for opening its credit windows in support of the dissemination of scientific technologies to the local aquaculture sector. "The entry of Land Bank into the technology transfer program is expected to solve the lingering of scarce credit resources of small aquafarmenrs and fisherfolk who intend to start or expand aquaculture ventures," stated Dr. Rolando R. Platon, chief of the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center Aquaculture Department (SEAFDEC-AQD) based in this town 24 km west of Iloilo City.
