Two dolphins confined at the Ocean Adventure Marine theme park in Subic are nursing injuries. They are believed victims of dynamite fishing. Ocean Adventure Marine Operations Director Carlo Magno is now overseeing the recuperation of the two dolphins. One of them, called "Valentina," was rescued in Badoc, Ilocos Norte after being stranded last February 14. It is fitting name for the 1.7-meter-long and 50-kilogram female spinner dolphin rescued on Valentine's Day. The Philippine Marine Mammal Stranding Network (PMMSN) says the cause of the beaching of Valentina is rampant dynamite fishing in the area. She is the third dolphin to be found in the coastline of Ilocos Norte.en
