    Leyte Department of Environment and Natural Resources regional office 8 (DENR-8) executive director Leonardo R. Siballuca told reporters here is field office in Borongan, Eastern Samar have released three green sea turtles (Chelonia mydas) back to sea waters off barangay Lalawigan, Borongan City keeping with " our campaign of marine turtle conservation". He said Community Environment and Natural Resources Officer Moises de la Cruz of DENR-CENRO Borongan reported that the turtle, known as pawikans in the local dialect, were trapped in a fish coral owned by a Mr. Roland Rodeles, in Lalawigan bay.
