    Excerpt
“Proper waste disposal is needed to prevent further harm that would apparently create disturbance and wrought havoc to the community,” Alvarado said as he enjoined residents to be responsible caretakers of rivers. The governor urged Bulakeños not to contribute to the destruction of the environment and join the provincial government in solving the problem of the heavily-silted water systems in the province to ensure public safety and economic progress. The Bulacan governor said that until today, it has been reported in national newspapers, radios and televisions that improper waste disposal was noted as the main reason why clogging of canals and silting of rivers happen.
