A fisherman was reported missing after his pumpboat capsized in the waters off Barangay 1, Ilog, Negros Occidental late Tuesday night. The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG)-Negros Occidental launched a search and rescue operation to look for 32-year-old Isagani Avansenia of Barangay Bocana. Commander Jansen Benjamin, head of PCG-Negros Occidental, said that Avansenia and his brother Ivar, 35, went fishing around 11 p.m. when their motorized vessel got entangled in a fish net.
