To most Ilonggos, SEAFDEC is but a compound of buildings with folks engaged in fish research, period. To passersby and to the natives themselves, it is but a mere fixture in the shoreline of Tigbauan, Iloilo. I go far beyond this popular belief because the SEAFDEC I know stands tall and proud in the international scientific community.
