    Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park (TRNP), located in the Sulu Sea in Cagayancillo, Palawan, and right at the apex of the Coral Triangle, a center of global marine biodiversity, was declared the 35th ASEAN Heritage Park (AHP) on November 5, 2015, by ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity, consisting of 10 Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) member-states. This will allow the 97,030-hectare Tubbataha Reefs 9 local name: gusong) to establish a network with regional heritage parks and receive global technical and financial support for its conservation efforts.
