Agriculture Secretary Emmanuel Piñol has reiterated his opposition to a proposal that seeks the creation of a separate department that will handle the fisheries sector. The Agri chief said the creation of a new department would entail additional expenditures for the government as the current P7 billion budget of BFAR would have to be increased.
