Environmentalists and agriculture stakeholders here are alarmed over the worsening pollution in Chico River so much so that fish caught in it have ingested plastic wastes. The alarm was raised by the concerned stakeholders after villagers from Tinglayan town in Kalinga, the first municipality to be traversed by the Chico River from the town proper here, complained of pollution and siltation of the river. Worse, the pollution of th famous Cordillera river system has gone so bad that farmers report that some fish caught in the river have ingested plastic wastes.en
