These experts, led by Rodel Lasco of UP Los Baños and Victoria Espaldon of UP Diliman, issued the call in a report issued in 2005 on behalf of the Millenium Ecosystem Assessment (MA) of the United Nations (UN). In calling for a collective effort to maintain the capacity of Laguna de Bay to produce food, the experts noted the drastic reduction of the fish output of the lake.en
