Bright prospects for the rapid growth of the seaweed industry in the Davao Region were cited during a recent meeting of coastal seaweed farmers, government aquatic experts, and local officials with Rep. Antonio Lagdameo Jr. (2nd District, Davao del Norte) at a seaweed pilot project site on this island city of Davao del Norte. Lagdameo met with the seaweed farmers in Barangay Tambo over the weekend and was visibly impressed with the progress made by the cooperative-run seaweed pilot project.
