    The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) regional office here disclosed that the coastal waters of Region 1 are still negative of red tide toxins despite the mild occurrence of the El Niño phenomenon. Nestor Domenden, BFAR regional director, said that based on latest laboratory results from BFAR central office Tuesday, all types of shellfish from Region 1, particularly in Pangasinan, are negative of the deadly toxin.
