Director Drusila Bayate of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) in Region 6 said that their assessment of the dry spell shows no damage to the fisheries sector in the region. But despite the prevailing scenario, BFAR-6 has been preparing mitigating measures by identifying vulnerable fishing areas in Western Visayas likely to be affected if the dry spell continues to woorsen.en
