    Excerpt
The Pasay City government yesterday announced the success of their four-day coastal clean up campaign, citing the collection of at least 127 truckloads of garbage along Roxas Boulevard. Mayor Antonino Calixto said that based on the report submitted to him by the chief of Solid Waste Management Office (SWMO), Charity Eshmawi, the "Clean-up Team" conducted recently a four-day garbage collection in front of Heritage Hotel along Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City and they were able to lift 127 10-wheeler truckloads with an estimate of 1,905 cubic meters of floating water garbage. Calixto said that Eshmawi also reported to him that to prevent garbage coming from the province of Cavite and Paranaque City to enter the city's coastal area, they have built wires and bamboo fences.
