    Alliance Tuna ventures into smoked salmon

    Alliance Tuna International Inc. and subsidiary Prime Foods New Zealand are investing ₱47 million in a new subsidiary they organized to put up smoked salmon processing facility in General Santos City. In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange yesterday, Alliance Tuna said they have put up a new subsidiary called Big Glory Bay Salmon and Seafood Company Inc. (BGB) to serve as importer and processor of smoked salmon. Alliance Tuna will have 50 percent plus one share stake in BGB with the balance being held by Prime Foods New Zealand, its majority owned subsidiary and the second largest smoked salmon producer in New Zealand.
