    Excerpt
The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) issued a warning on Thursday that four areas in Mindanao are positive for toxic "red tide" or paralytic shellfish poison which is beyond the regulatory limit. These areas are Bislig Bay in Bislig City, Surigao del Sur; Misamis Bay in Misamis Occidental; Murcielagos Bay in Zamboanga del Noret; and Dunmaguillas Bay in Zamboanga del Sur. The latest laboratory tests conducted by the BFAR and local government units (LGUs) showed that shellfish collected in these areas are positive for red tide.
